Manufactured in the UK, our VAG stainless steel decat downpipe is designed to improve exhaust flow and support increased performance across a wide range of Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Skoda diesel vehicles.

Compatible with selected 1.6 TDI and 2.0 TDI engines, including PD170, PPD170 and Common Rail (CR) variants, this downpipe is manufactured from high-quality 304-grade stainless steel and professionally TIG welded in-house to ensure exceptional build quality and durability.

Featuring carefully selected 2.5-inch diameter pipework, the downpipe has been developed to provide an excellent balance between exhaust flow, performance and sound. Through testing, we have found that the 2.5-inch design produces a more refined exhaust tone than larger 3-inch alternatives, while maintaining excellent flow characteristics.

Designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory DPF section, the downpipe retains the original exhaust clamping system, allowing it to connect directly to the existing exhaust system.

Installation Information

This downpipe is designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the original DPF section, retaining the factory exhaust clamping arrangement.

Please note the following before installation:

Exhaust Outlet Size – Please select the correct outlet diameter to match your existing exhaust system:

55mm Outlet – Typically associated with 140bhp applications.

60mm Outlet – Typically associated with 170bhp applications.

Outlet Measurement – Measure the diameter of your existing exhaust pipe at the clamped connection between the downpipe and the remaining exhaust system. Do not select the outlet size based on engine power alone.
DPF Pressure Sensors – The original differential pressure pipes are no longer used with this downpipe. However, certain engines, particularly PPD variants, may require the original differential pressure sensor to remain electronically connected.
Engine Compatibility – Please check the exact engine code and exhaust configuration before ordering, as different variants may use different connections or sensor arrangements.
ECU Software Requirements – ECU software modifications may be required following installation to prevent engine management warning lights and running issues. Any modifications must be appropriate for the vehicle's intended off-road or motorsport use and comply with applicable regulations.

Professional installation is recommended.

All Groovy Stance decat downpipes are manufactured and sold strictly for off-road, motorsport and competition use only. They are not approved for use on public roads.

This product is designed to replace factory emissions-control equipment, including the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and/or catalytic converter, where applicable.

Removing or modifying emissions-control equipment can make a vehicle non-compliant with UK road-vehicle emissions regulations. A vehicle with required emissions-control equipment removed will fail its UK MOT inspection. Similar restrictions may apply in other countries.

The customer is responsible for ensuring their vehicle complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
The vehicle must not be operated on public roads in a configuration that breaches emissions or roadworthiness legislation.

The vehicle must be returned to a road-legal, emissions-compliant configuration before being used on public roads or presented for a roadworthiness inspection.
